Misgovernance, corruption, and cruelty is a hallmark of ZANU PF governance, yet new President Mnangagwa defended Mugabe’s actions, since the 60s,…what has changed? Wake up!
Misgovernance, corruption, and cruelty of the ZANU PF government, under Mugabe destroyed Zimbabwe yet Mnangagwa unquestioningly defended his bosses action,dating as far back from the sixties when Zanu was formed.
Through all murders Mugabe’s right hand man kept his peace to date, even now that he is president he will not condemn Mugabe,..really?
People of Zimbabwe, do not lose your guard and imagine that a ‘new’ government which pleases the west, AU and Sadc, who failed to help us at all until the people stood up in absolute defiance to oppressive rule and unseated the despot, will somehow turn on Mugabe and Zanu pf policies.
ZANU PF have single handedly run Zimbabwe aground put us through horrors, pain, hunger, forced exile and suffering for the past 37 years yet the same new government led by Mnangagwa actually helped create the draconian laws, enforce them, supported the crime, corruption, murder and disappearances inflicted upon the people
Celebrating Mnangagwa’s inauguration, he is typical of gullible Zimbabweans as it was clear from his speech of praising Mugabe as a great leader and mentor, whose legacy should be preserved for all time, that there will not be any credible policy changes by the ‘new’ ZANU PF government.
This is simply because Mnangagwa and his so called new zanu pf government are the same people who never lifted a finger all these years and actually fenced off Mugabe from the people through draconian laws, violence, torture, non free elections, and the infamous NIKUV 2013 promised two million jobs under ZimAsset which were nothing but hog wash and never delivered so, why celebrate recycling the same filth after simply changing the wrapping, falling onto a pile of sh*t face first then claiming lucky I didn’t touch it with my hands.
Mnangagwa and Mugabe are one, and Mnangagwa chose to protect Mugabe because he knows in any court, Mugabe will haul him along as having been the chief architect in all violence, including gukurahundi, murambatsvina, 2008 election violence and Chiadzwa genocide in which countless, lives were lost. Where is Itai Dzamara?
He knew that whatever happens to Mugabe he equally deserves the same and he also has millions of corruptly gained wealth to protect so he will not rock the boat.
How can people sit back and imagine that the same person who was key behind all these genocides and oppression of the people as State Minister and Justice Minister and who obviously has all the evidence about these atrocities locked away to be used later, would now turn around and present all evidence of his own crimes to parliament.
What Mnangagwa is doing is simply to attract Western investment and the outside world but as long as he remains as president of Zimbabwe, we have not removed Mugabe and we have left the Zanu pf structures including the military, police, CIO, ‘green bombers’ Zanu pf militia, AIPPA, POSA and impediments to democratic operations basically untouched.
All Mnangagwa has done is simply guarantee his own safety from prosecution over past crimes like he did for Mugabe. He has ensured that mugabe has a US$10million exit package, lifetime protection by the state, safety from prosecution and other, because he knows apart from Bishop Abel Muzorewa, if Zimbabweans maintain unity and fight to remove him and all Zanu pf by the 2018 elections, his may be yet another short lived presidency only matched by Muzorewa. he therefore is guaranteeing himself safety security and a healthy lump sum , when we soon remove him, and thats why i say we are a gullible society!
How can it be right that Mugabe trade for Mnangagwa is the closure of human attrocities such as gukurahundi, Murambatsina, White farmer eviction, Chiadzwa , and 2008 elections amongst many. The people need answers, accountability, prosecution, compensation, closure and healing then moving the country forward. We cannot just sweep all these horrors under the carpet and move on as if human life is worthless!
The democratic people of Zimbabwe need consultation and to participate fully in how these past crimes against humanity by Mugabe Mnangagwa and Zanu pf must be amicably resolved otherwise we are only holding back waht will eventually erupt in defiance to oppressive authority.
Zimbabwe needs to ensure that 2018 elections go ahead and we as opposition are in place to remove Mnangagwa, Zanu pf stalwarts and permanantly dismantle the system that Mugabe created otherwise we havent made any credible change except cement Mnangagwa, Zanu pf monopoly over wealth and power.
This is not the time to sit back and imagine Zimbabwe is ok. No one should pack bags, re invest or invest in Zimbabwe for now because the corrupt system that Mugabe created is still in place and can still pack a punch in fleecing diaspora and international investments. If you are in the diaspora, remember how you lost before, what you lost before then ask yourself, why should a man who has been at the forefront of all the chaos, crime, corruption, murder, torture, forced exile and the powerhouse behind Mugabe’s illegitimate Zanu pf regime all along, suddenly now be someone to create attractive policies and encourage the world and diaspora Zimbabweans to come back home?
These are the same criminals and if we sit back and relax and do not work at removing Mnangagwa and the Zanu pf system, we are only setting ourselves up for more serious problems in Zimbabwe.
Be careful Zimbabwe because the West is only claiming to be happy with Mnangagwa because Mugabe had shut them down and they had been shut down from Zimbabwe, a very rich country minerals and resources wise and land wise.
This is the same west who are actually the source of all Zimbabwe suffering starting from Cecil John Rhodes imperialism , the racist white Ian Smith Rhodesian regime, the ‘blue eyed boy of the west in the 80s’ Sir Robert Mugabe who turned on his masters to give land back to the people of Zimbabwe, then they ignored our plight till we freed ourselves.
The West will never step in unless they are after something, Zimbabwe has land, minerals, resources and is peaceful, so, highly attractive to the west. Mugabe in principle was right, that the west is responsible for Zimbabwe’s suffering and indigenous resources must belong to the people of Zimbabwe.
Black empowerment is right, but not really what the West wants to know about because it does not serve their interests.
Lets rebuild Zimbabwe, remove Mnangagwa and the Zanu pf thugs bring back the hard working Zimbabweans, create jobs, attract global investments, block any attempts to sell off the motherland again.
We have proved to AU, SADC, and the West that despots can be removed peacefully, no guns, we are a christian nation, peaceful, hardworking, well educated and can rebuild the motherland starting with a democratic election in 2018 then when we have cleaned up the slate can we claim to have a peaceful, progressive Zimbabwe, with the interests of the indegenous people first and create peace and justice, equality for all races, tribes, political parties and other!
The interests of the people of any country come first before any nonsense, we have seen this globally, look at Trump with ‘America First’, look at ‘Brexit’ in Britain. It is the interests of the indigenous people that are at the heart of all shifts politically,…Zimbabweans you are educated,..this is your time,..lets finish what Mugabe started for the people, in a democratic manner less Mnangagwa and all Zanu pf,..elections first in 2018!
